Yves Regaldi has been present on the African continent since 1989 and creates a photo library specializing in Burkina Faso in the early 2000s. He travels to Benin and to the “Land of upright men” on several occasions, for an artistic project with Vétérinaires without border. He collaborates with the Burkinabé artist Ky Siriky , instigator of the Laongo sculpture symposium and curator of the Ben Amira symposium in Mauritania. First step towards publishing in 2008 with Armand Spicher writer. Publication of two books, MANA WANA , COULEUR BURKINA, and a 4 pages on NEWSWEEK.

He moved to his new workshop on the banks of the Canal des Taneurs in Dole in 2001. The photographic series "Les Circulations du monde" (Diasec in limited edition) is presented in 2010, Chromia gallery, Green flowers art, Artsper, Eric Dumont ... In 2012, discovery of the Tamberma country in the north of Togo. He immerses himself and shares life from a Batammariba family with Philippe Aubert de Molay , (Hemingway Prize for short story in 2014). They jointly sign the work TAMBERMA at the Souffle Court editions, followed by a publication at the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC.

VISIONS , (photography and philosophy) is edited by Ex-aequo in 2015, and the book A DOLE , in collaboration with Stéphane Haslé , philosopher friend, leaves in July 2017. A first discovery of Phnom Penh in 2016, initiates a more complete photographic project on Cambodia for 2017 and 2018… the adventure continues.
